Content Development—Legal Expertise
SkillSoft has partnered with several nationally-recognized law firms to serve as subject matter experts (SMEs) in the development and maintenance of the Legal Compliance Solution content. Experienced, practicing lawyers have been selected, who are specialists in their fields and who confront challenging compliance issues on a daily basis. SkillSoft believes this is the most effective way to keep current with changes in the law and developments in compliance strategies, all while bringing a real-world, practical approach to compliance training. SkillSoft’s SME attorneys work with instructional designers through every step of the development process to ensure that the content is thorough, current, and legally accurate. SkillSoft’s SMEs are also involved in the ongoing maintenance of the Legal Compliance course content. The SMEs help to identify changes in the law that impact the courses and work with SkillSoft’s instructional designers to update the content as needed so that the content remains up-to-date and consistent with the latest in adult learning methodology.

Instructional Design
The courses are designed to be short and to the point, generally running only 60 minutes. Each course is rich in interactivity and includes choice specific feedback, animated graphics, role plays, case studies, serial multi choice, learning aids, job aids, and follow on activities.
