Your FREE COURSE Of The Day: Effective Project Management

" Management so detailed...What a great surprise!"

" I feel accomplished...What a wonderful privilege!"

" Great lesson...Excellent explanation!"

This free online course for project managers introduces the four phases of project management and includes an expected time worksheet. The primary challenge of project management is to achieve all of the project goals and objectives while honoring the project constraints. Typical constraints are scope, time and budget. The secondary—and more ambitious—challenge is to optimize the allocation and integration of inputs necessary to meet pre-defined objectives. A project is a carefully defined set of activities that use resources (money, people, materials, energy, space, provisions, communication, motivation, etc.) to achieve the project goals and objectives. this project management training course will help the student develop these skills.

Plenty of practice situations, drag-and-drop interactive choices, and feedback allow you to engage the concepts and remain fairly active throughout.

Project Management Training in LatitudeU

Give your work force the tools to meet the PMP credential requirements with SkillSoft's project management solution.
Delivering the end product or service on time and on budget indicates effective project management which, in turn, is a sign of a successful business. A project management solution is important for many reasons:

  • Companies need to bring new products and services to market on time and on budget
  • Employees often lack the skills to ensure smooth implementation of complex projects
  • Companies want to define consistent processes for project management to ensure timely execution on a global basis

Because excellent project management is so highly regarded, many corporations require employees have the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential. To be eligible for the PMP, specific education and work experience requirements must be met as well as an agreement to adhere to a code of professional conduct.

LatitudeU's trainging partner, SkillSoft, is a PMI® registered education provider.
LatitudeU offers SkillSoft courses that will prepare individuals for two of PMI®'s globally recognized certifications for project management, the Project Management Professional (PMP®), and the Certified Associate of Project Management (CAPM®). The Program Management Professional (PgMPSM) courseware provides an overview of the certification.

What SkillSoft courses are eligible for PDUs and/or Contact Hour credit?

What does PMBOK® -aligned mean?

The Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) is PMI®'s standards document that includes generally accepted knowledge and practices of project management. It is approved as an American National Standard (ANS) by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as a project management standard.

PMI® basis its Project Management Professional (PMP®) and Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) certification exams on the various process groups defined in the PMBOK®. The current PMP® and CAPM certification exams are based upon PMI's Fourth-Edition PMBOK. Those exams became effective on July 1 and August 1 respectively, at which time the exams based upon the Third Edition were retired.

SkillSoft offers a full curriculum of courseware that is aligned with the Fourth Edition and can be used by learners to prepare for the PMP® and CAPM exams.

As a PMI® Registered Education Provider of PDUs, SkillSoft has a responsibility to verify that PDU requirements are met, issue a certificate that includes certain PMI® required information, and maintain course and certificant records for five years. PMI® certificates of completion are not the same as a general certificate of completion for the reasons just mentioned.
