Carter Smith is an educator, trainer, strategic networker, and facilitator, with a background in government, non-profit and for-profit organizations. Mr. Smith is Managing Associate, Training and Education, of Link to Your World, LLC http://www.lintoyourworld.com and founder of Link To Your Education, Inc., at http://www.linktoyoureducation.com. In addition, he is an Adjunct Professor at Austin Peay State University and Mountain State University, and a S.T.A.R. Instructor for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, part of the U. S. Department of Homeland Security. He has adopted the unique edutainment teaching style, using a variety of platforms, including social media, to enhance learning and facilitate comprehension. During his more than twenty-two year career with the United States Army, Mr. Smith served as Criminal Intelligence & Anti-Terrorism Program Manager, Team Chief of the Gang Suppression Team, Detachment Sergeant, and Special Agent-in-Charge for the US Army Criminal Investigations Command (CID). Mr. Smith is a member of the faculty advisory board for the Global Security Institute at Austin Peay State University; and a founding board member of the Tennessee Gang Investigators Association http://www.tn-gia.org and Square One Ranch http://www.squareoneranch.org. Mr. Smith is a Ph.D candidate at Northcentral University. He received a Juris Doctorate from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale, and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Austin Peay State University. The recipient of numerous Army Commendation and Meritorious Service Medals, he was also designated as the CID Command Enlisted Special Agent of the Year. Mr. Smith is a member of Phi Alpha Delta (Law Fraternity), and the CID Special Agent’s Association.

Meet an eLearning Publisher: MARSOUND
After 25 years in sales and marketing, Mr. Orshan was appointed by Governor Richardson of New Mexico as head of Science and Technology for the state. In that role Mr. Orshan grew nanotechnology, biotechnology, renewable energy and digital media clusters in the state that receives $8B worth of federal funding each year. Upon leaving office Mr. Orshan teamed with President Calderon’s economic advisor, to create www.marsound.com. Here, interviews with influential people can be heard about the economic development of Mexico. There is now a social network http://buildbridgesnotwalls.ning.com created where members trade with each other. This concept of trust before trade is novel to social networking and is now being studied by think tanks and included in at least two new books. Previous to this, Mr. Orshan was head of sales and marketing for two software development companies focused on the telecommunications industry. This included selling the team that created the first broadband device sold by Fujitsu. Mr. Orshan brought one company to Inc. Magazine’s Top 500 private US companies as well as significant investments. Clients included Lucent, Alcatel, Tellabs, Verizon, Qwest, AT&T, Global Village in Brazil and KPN in the Netherlands. Currently, as growth from Marsound, Mr. Orshan is involved with video advertising, economic development campaigns, and a US Presidential campaign.
