Meet an eLearning Publisher: MARSOUND

After 25 years in sales and marketing, Mr. Orshan was appointed by Governor Richardson of New Mexico as head of Science and Technology for the state. In that role Mr. Orshan grew nanotechnology, biotechnology, renewable energy and digital media clusters in the state that receives $8B worth of federal funding each year. Upon leaving office Mr. Orshan teamed with President Calderon’s economic advisor, to create www.marsound.com. Here, interviews with influential people can be heard about the economic development of Mexico. There is now a social network http://buildbridgesnotwalls.ning.com created where members trade with each other. This concept of trust before trade is novel to social networking and is now being studied by think tanks and included in at least two new books. Previous to this, Mr. Orshan was head of sales and marketing for two software development companies focused on the telecommunications industry. This included selling the team that created the first broadband device sold by Fujitsu. Mr. Orshan brought one company to Inc. Magazine’s Top 500 private US companies as well as significant investments. Clients included Lucent, Alcatel, Tellabs, Verizon, Qwest, AT&T, Global Village in Brazil and KPN in the Netherlands. Currently, as growth from Marsound, Mr. Orshan is involved with video advertising, economic development campaigns, and a US Presidential campaign.
